CaperberryCapers bear the same relation to caperberries as squash blossoms do to squash. Well, almost. Capers are the buds, not the flowers, of a spiny plant native to the Mediterranean. The buds grow into a dark green fruit, the caperberry. Both capers and caperberries are sold pickled in brine. Caperberries are milder than capers and can be eaten like olives.
